I think he is real. I've watched his show from the begining '01 The details of what he knows is too great to just be guessing.
There is NO way those people (that seem absolutely average) could possibly fake that emotion and surprise. He couldnt possibly find out details of all those people, (or at least raise concerns if he was having assistants ask people things before the show) in all those different cities. And lastly, the idea of him reading minds is incorrect, too because often I've seen families later confirm something he said after they asked another relative. To me, it seems utterly and completely true, and yes I want to believe, however, I did come to this conclusion after asking myself all these questions, and thinking about it skeptically. But I won't argue with any skeptics, we're all entitled to agree or not.

He he haws around the block, he looks for people to key into him, he is nervous, and basically he rejects religion when asked. Silvia Brown isn't a christian either, although she writes about Christ as a boy. These people are celebrites and full of themselves, as a christian you have to ask your self if this isn't worshiping an idol who has God like powers---now you know better than that.

Fake. The South Park episode lampooning him explains it best. His shtick is basically an old parlor trick. Nothing more to it than that.

Real cause how else would he know all that stuff. Example he was on Larry King one night & told a woman something was gonna fall off her wall & then it did.

He uses some of the same techniques televangelists use.

While I've been exposed to psychic experiences, I don't buy him for a second.

I believe he is for real. If he isn't then he is pretty convincing.
He has a great following. I've been to one of his seminars, he really is on top of everything...and correct.
