Is it true that 4 planes crashed into the World trade center on 9/11?

After the world trade center blew up. I heard from one person that 4 planes crashed into it, I heard from another person that it was 5 planes, but by more people, i heard it was 2 planes

Another plane crashed into WTC2.
WTC2 collapsed.
WTC1 collapsed.
WTC7 collapsed.

By the way, the 9/11 Commission report has errors and omissions. The commission claimed there was no internal support structure in WTC1 and WTC2. It does not mention WTC7. It does not account for the fact that a pancake collapse described in the report would slow down and would not account for the free fall speed of the towers.

There were 4 planes; two crashed into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and one crashed in a field after passengers took control from the hijackers, probably saving many lives.
Early reports suggested that 5 planes might have been hijacked, but the fifth plane turned up safe.

I watched it happen on the news - one plane into each tower, one into the Pentagon, and one into a field. 4 planes total, but just the 2 into the towers.

Your sources must be getting their news elsewhere. Don't listen to them, they're wrong, you're right; Two separate planes hit the towers, and two other planes hit the Pentagon and that field in Pennsylvania. I thought everyone knew that.

There were indeed four airplanes, but they were on separate missions.....2 for the trade centers, 1 for the pentagon and the other one for the white house.

In my opinion, the 9/11 commission report should be part of the curriculum of history classes of high schools, along with similar government reports on other major events in US history ... like how come the US was unprepared for Pearl Harbor.

On the actual date Sep 11, 2001 there was a lot of confusion, like a 5th plane that may have been in line to be hijacked, but when the planes were grounded, it had not yet taken off, so the would be hijackers managed to escape before anyone thought to call the authorities on them.

Whether the FBI traced the ticket holders infolved we may never know.

The official investigations determined:

American Airlines flight 11 from Boston to Los Angeles was hijacked and crashed into WTC at 8.46 am ... one of the flight attendants got AA on the phone at 8.19 to inform HQ about the hijacking, but it sounds like the folks at AA were a bit duhmwitted in absorbing what they were being told ... the FAA figured out that it had been hijacked at 8.25 am & about 10 minutes later notified the Air Force, which about 10 minutes after that scrambled jet fighters, which were getting off the ground at about the same time as AA 11 was crashing into WTC. At 9.16 am, AA figured out that their plane had crashed into WTC, but it took a while longer for FAA & USAF to come to same conclusion

United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston to Los Angeles was hijacked and flowin into WTC south tower at 9.03 am ... it was 8.52 when a flight attendant phoned UA to notify them of the hijacking, but the FAA did not figure out what was going on until after the plane had hit WTC

American Airlines Flight 77 from Washington DC to Los Angeles was hijacked and flown into the Pentagon at 9.37 am ... AA figured out that this plane had been hijacked at about 9.05, at 9.25 am the FAA ordered ground stop ... no more commercial planes to take off

United Airlines Flight 93 from Newark to San Francisco was hijacked. Passengers on board by phone found out what had happened to the earlier 3 planes, so they tried to do their civic duty and recapture the plane from the hijackers. It crashes in a rural area of Pennsylvania at 10.03 am

I have heard various stories where bin Laden's people got captured by US intelligence and questioned. I don't know if they intended to crash this plane into the White House or into Congress.

In actual fact there have been several plots.

One plot was to put bombs in the lavatories of many different planes destined for the West Coast of the USA. That plot got foiled because there was a fire in the apartment building where the terrorists were having a planning meeting, everyone evacuated the building, the fire dept and police found suspicous papers before the terrorists got back inside.
