I have always had a breadbox and used it. I love the one that I have at the moment. It is from the 1940's the style is just prior to WWII, and I love it....the metal is great because I live in the country and occasionally we do get rodents inside...the cats are good to keep them down, but every so often..... What I used before I found this one was my big roaster...that is large enough for a 30 pound turkey...with the lid on that none of the little critters could get into it....

Yes...We have a breadbox. It keeps the bread out of the way until we need it. I remember a loaf of bread was left in there for about 3 weeks haha...

Nope. It may seem weird but I keep my bread in the freezer until I'm ready to use it. It lasts longer that way.
