I positioned the bleach and detergent in on an identical time as the nice and cozy water grow to be filling up then i extra the towels. That have been given rid of it and we've dark blue towels and that they've been large. to evade this from coming back carry them up until they dry.

I have had this happen to me before. I washed them again but this time I used the pre-wash cycle, instead of adding laundry detergent into the tub I used baking soda and water and used the laundry detergent in the dispenser as normal.

Once it gets into fabric, it's impossible to remove completely. You can wash in bleach.......but it will remove the color. You can soak in hotwater and Oxyclean, but the smell may return. OdorBan from Sam's Club also won't entirely eliminate the stink. Oh it may initially, but once the stink gets in towels and washcloths, it comes back again. Do what you can until you can replace them.

Put them in the machine with ERA and hot water. Fill only 1/2 full. Let them soak overnight in the machine. Next morning fill with more hot water and wash as normal. Hang them outside to dry if possible. It really does work.

Ok, you've got all these answers... but I promise you this is the best way to do it:
Wash in hot water with your regular detergent, and add one cup of ammonia to the load.
Rinse twice.
