You're being a little shortsighted. I think that it should be developed first at the local and state level to iron out some of the details and perhaps shortcomings of the event. Rules to be established; type of legal throw; put, discus-like, javelin run -up?
I suggest it be similar to the hammer throw. And I believe that two medals should be given to both the thrower and throwee.
Send a letter to the I.O.C. with your idea :)

It would give dwarfs an opportunity to compete in the Olympics.

Since "one man and his dog" will be a demonstration sport at the London Olympics I don't see why not! My only caveat would be the current UK shortage (sic) of dwarfs......This problem needs to be addressed in short order, it is no small feat to become a dwarf thrower of international stature. Lottery funding must be applied for now!

That's a good idea but how about the dwarf high-jump? Come on, you know that would be funny!
EDIT - Adum, I'm 'different' too. I've had major reconstructive surgery for my bowel including an ileostomy at one time. However, I don't mind it when people crack jokes about having the sh*ts! In fact, I join in because it is funny! A sense of humour helps one to cope - in my experience anyway.

I think so. It's becoming more popular thanks to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I think it certainly would give dwarves the opportunity to be part of the Olympics. Prior to that most were relegated to roles in the sordid film world of "Midget Sex", "Doing a Dwarf", "Ejaculating Elves", and "Groping Gnomes".

Only if you are talking about people with dwarf brains. I think
they'd be the only ones interested. Get a life.

How about we start tw@t throwing ....you'd be front of the queue. Don't you realise that dwarfism is seen as a genuine form of disability??? Moron.
