There is no normal time to get married. Getting married is a serious decision between two people once you meet that person. When you meet that person, you need to know if their goals and yours are the same, what are your career paths, do you want children and how many, how does religion factor in, and are there no abuse or drug issues involved. The younger you are the less life experience you have to determine these issues so it's best to get high school and college out of the way and live on your own for awhile before throwing yourself into the marriage pool. Your success rate will be so much higher.

I do not think there is a "normal" time or age when people get married. It is so common for people to get married at a young age whether or not they are mature enough.

Whenever you are ready to get married, then it will happen when the both of you want it to, not when other people say it should.

I got married when I was 20.. I have been married a little over 5 years now. I do wish that I would have waited until I was able to mature a little more, but it has worked out just fine!! (After many obstacles.. Marriage is HARD work, but it is worth it)

These days there seems to be a trend towards people being in their 30s before getting married, but I think the average is somewhere in the mid- to late-20s. In college I knew of quite a few very successful young marriages though. I think it depends a lot on where you live.

well truthfully it is good to get married after you have finished high school and college, only because you have done all your partying and tried different things and should have your life in a settle down mode by the time you think of marrying someone. I tell my kids, get your life situated before you start to take care of another!

Wait until you're 30 because in your 20's you're still growing up, finding out who you are, and starting your adult life.
