Some places (like a knife specialty store) do it for free. You can also buy a sharpening stone for about 5 bucks for smaller blades.

Most of the Places that I Get my Knives sharpened charge me about $1.00 per Knife. I hope this Helps.

Start with friends and family. That should give you an idea if what you do is worth pursuing. If that works then you should start to get some word of mouth marketing going. Have all your friends and family pass the word about your unique skill. Something like this seems to indicate starting small and working your way up. I would go the family and friends route first for awhile. If you're making pretty good money then rent a small shop, put an add in the paper, and hand out some fliers.

do it yourself. if you don't have a whetstone you can use the bottom ring part of a ceramic mug. it's sort of rough.
