im looking for some good hard rock or alternative/ modern rock songs other than those that everyone knows.
just some stuff that is lesser known
im thinking of material like STP, pearl jam, audioslave, VR, motorhead, S.O.A.D, etc....

Some of my favorites are Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, TooL, Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Soundgarden, A Perfect Circle, 90's Metallica, Deftones. All their stuff is good, solid music. As for lesser known bands why not check out alternative/indie/hard rock bands on myspace.com/music?
