No it's not to bad, you still have your senior year to get it up. You can also get into college with a 2.75, don't let those other a**h**** tell you, you can't get into a good college because you can.

I had a 2.9 10th grade due to my life at home. I was able to get my gpa up to a 3.7 junior year because my life at home was better and I tried extremely hard. (my grades went down 10th grade due to my mom being extremely ill and nobody knowing what was wrong with her.. I watched her slowly get worse and worse..) But my point is.. Is that you just need to step it up a little more. Making notecards a couple days before a test helps and just asking questions when you do not understand something. Sometimes colleges can see the intelligence of one through their ACT and SAT scores, not by their grade point average. So, all these people that are saying its bad and you will not get into college are wrong. AND you can get into college with a 2.75 gpa, but maybe it will be just a community college.. And there is nothing wrong with a community college. Keep on trying, do not get down on yourself.

It's not good. That's pretty much a "passing" score, like at college or a university. It's pretty much a C or C+ which is the minimum to get by. You might want to try to raise that cummulative GPA before applying to colleges. I would suggest taking some 1/2 year courses or electives that are offered at your school to boost your GPA (like a foreign language, a nutrition class, an art class, etc. in the place of a study hall).

If you're worried about it, then that shows you care. Caring is the first step to success. Grades are often inaccurate in measuring intelligence.
For a more concrete answer, a 2.75 is NOT a bad GPA. Anything above 2.0 is considered passing in many education systems.
Keep learning and do it for yourself, not for the grade.

One bad quarter with a 2.75 isn't terrible. However, if that is your total GPA for 3 years, then it shows you are not quite a "B" (above average) student.

AVerage is okay, unless you are trying to get accepted into an "above average" college.

If this 2.75 reflects Freshman & Sophmore year only, you have 2 years to get it higher. And that's not too hard. If you get a 3.5 average in each of the next 8 quarters, your total GPA will be 3.125. That's above average.

You'll have a tough time getting into a university or any good college. However, do not despair. Some community colleges will take anyone.

There's a college in my state that actually accepts people with severe learning disabilities. I don't mean people who need a little help. I mean people that will never be able to live on their own. You probably don't want to go to a school with that reputation but the point is you sould still get into a community college. Just don't expect any grants or scholarships to come your way.

It is about average, somewhere in the range of a B-
If you are concerned, you have time to work on it and bring it up. I am assuming you just started 11th grade this year, so you have two full years to get it higher, but if considering college, work hard this year to get it up to at least a 3.0 before the start of senior year.

I'd try and bump it up to at least a 3.0

Just a side note, sure you might not be able to get into a private college, but those are a HUGE waste of money. If you don't have a major, go to Junior or Community College. When you pick a major, then go to state school.

If you want to go out of state, move to the new state, go to C.C, get residency, then go to the University.

this shows that you have a high c/b average. a 3.0 - 3.9 is in the b'sand a's and a 4.0 is a straight a average I would work on increasing your gpa to get scholarships and such you will really be thinking about that stuff later on in you senior year. Just think about it this way you have two years to raise that gpa.
