Okay, this sounds boring. Fill the tank and take off, no destination in mind just pick a direction and go. I love a cruse at night across the dessert in Wyoming or Nevada, especially in winter when the lighting storms are hot.

Backpacking/rapelling.
I take my wife and daughter, and the next time I'll have a son-in-law.
We go for the weekend and seriously rough it.
There is no better way to get to enjoy a sunset or sunrise than when you are out in the mountains, away from city lights and noise and all that .

My favorite thing to do is photography! I love getting out of town and go somewhere really interesting and get into my zone and get some real nice images to enjoy! I'd love to go take my baby Bogen tripod (with the 484RC2 ballhead), possibly my Giottos monopod, Canon Rebel G or K2 along with my 28-90mm and 75-300mm lens and zoom in on some beauty! I just love photographing flowers and things of nature and do my thing. One fave fall foliage shot I did last year was about two trees. There was a barren sycamore tree in front with different tree in back with full foliage, and I did a shot where I nearly eclipsed them together... but instead I had the trunk of the back tree peering out. It worked really well. I wish I could go do some telephoto shots of some lovely water lilies ere they go away for another year. I can't get anyone to take me. Darn. I love photography. The other thing I like to do is draw. I have on and off seasons of drawing, and it's fun. I just went to a store and got me a nice collection of markers and colored pencils. Ah yeah.
