What is its remainder if it is divided by (x-1)(x-2)?

Q(x) will be the quotient (that's why the Q), 2x+3 is the remainder.

doesn't Q(x) mean its a quotient?

so P(x)=Q(x)(x-1)(x-2) + (2x+3)

where (2x+3) is the remainder?
