defragment the computer, and download "crapcleaner." its a fantastic program that basically cleans all the crap off your computer, my whole family and all my friends use it, no viruses.

otherwise, you might have to get more memory installed.

It means that you didn't install much memory on your computer so virtual memory is being used (hard-drive). so now when the harddrive is filling up quickly you are basically running out of room. a quick fix will be to clean out Temp Internet files and even try CCleaner. in the long run, will be good to beef up on memory.

Probably running xp right? If so you are probably running too much junk in the background. Click Start then click on Run type "msconfig", then click the startup tab (far right tab) from there click disable all. This will clear up all programs running in the background and at the start up of Windows and will disable them from starting all up when windows loads. You will still be able to manually start the programs you want to use by clicking an icon or in the programs menu. Hope this helps if not my friend you need an upgrade.

It is better that your PC does NOT access virtual memory often. Virtual memory is SLOW. Just make more RAM available to your programs. Add more RAM and/or minimize unnecessary startups that take up lots of RAM. You can disable startups in msconfig.

You can look through your documents and delete some of them. You also can empty your recycle bin. You can buy an external hard drive also.
