Good question, sometimes ignorance is bliss.
Consider the Jesus freaks, evangelicals and other deeply religious folks, all have reverted to that primitive limbic systems of our brains, the place where our deepest emotions reside. The 'born-again' Christian phenomena has a scientific basis. When people are in deep despair, near death, nearly starved, or other highly emotional states, the 'religious experience' is triggered. Hormones, dopamine receptors and other chemical reactions take place...all good for the body. They help to fight diseases, etc. It was a survival mechanism our bodies have devloped since the days of our primitive ancestors.
Those that know the truth however, ie Objective Reality, are not allowing themselves the body's defensive mechanizm that has evolved over time. The closest they (we) can come is to believe in the 'power of positive thinking' which is the closest to religion (use of the limbic system of our brains) that we atheists can get.
I've chosen Objective Reality, even knowing that a delusional worldview could be beneficial to my health and body....go figure.

I think it's better to have an equal balance of both. My reasoning is this: If people have too much faith and not enough logic, they are inclined to let everything fall into the hands of something or someone else. They take no responsibility for their actions or the chain of consequences following thereafter. It's all left up to "fate", and whatever happens was "meant to happen". On the other side of the token, people with too much logic question everything and everyone around them. Nothing can ever "just happen" for no reason at all, it has to have a motive, or objective. Therefore, I think it's healthy to have a balance of both. This way, you can believe that some things happen for a reason and others just happen, for no other reason other than pure dumb luck, or lack-there-of, in some cases. One of my favorite quotes is as follows: "Seeing is believing, but sometimes the the most real things in life are the things we can't see...." ----Unknown

I think unfaltering faith is much better for peace of mind. It doesn't really matter what you believe in (so long as you don't believe in a malevolent god or nothing), just so long as you have unfaltering faith. If I believe the bucket under my sink is the all loving creator of the universe who is watching over me at all times that will bring me great comfort. But this only works if I truly believe it.
On the other hand, logic is good for making money, accomplishing goals and getting material goods. Logic can also be disruptive of faith which can lead to a lot of discontent.
I'm not entirely sure which is better because if you had perfect logic you would probably have a lot of faith in yourself which might lead to happiness, but I really wouldn't know.
I'm just going to go with logic out of faith in the idea that relying on truth rather than self deception is probably for the better.

on the beginning up i presumed your question substitute into ridiculing EVOLUTION. Now, that's the problem that calls so you might place all good judgment and reason aside, and faithfully carry directly to a concept that has actual no information to help it. humorous that they call themselves scientists...extra like clergymen (of evolution). As concerning God, his fingerprints are everywhere. Open your eyes! while substitute into the final time you observed a layout that had no clothier? The universe is a complexity of layout. The extra complicated the layout the better the information of a clothier. purely one occasion, the human physique. each organ has a function. assorted organs kind a smart device. working example, the lungs, heart, and blood. This substitute into no longer an twist of destiny, nor by hazard, yet in user-friendly terms by layout. how are you able to no longer have self assurance there's a God? when you consider which you won't be able to see Him? Gimme a harm, you have self assurance in gravity, do no longer you? How approximately atoms? humorous ...you're.

hmmm how about this.... you can have faith in your logic.... if you believe something to be possible without having actually seen it.. that is "faith"... but if someone tells you what goes up must come down .... and logically you feel that, that is not right... just try to throw a rock into orbit.. bad example... but i belive faith is beliveing only in the unproved logic... the world is flat.... if someone traveles 60 miles an hour in a car their skin would peel off their face.. the human body is incapable of running a mile in less than 4 minutes.... all thought to be logical, but someone had faith in their own logic....

We have both, learn to live with them or don't. The mind and its progress to maturity is the dialectic of both for both against both. Give up your notion that perfection is a valid concept.
The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.
ps: "Faith is deciding to allow yourself to believe something your intellect would otherwise cause you to reject; otherwise there's no need for faith."~unkown
Said like a true schizo; I am my faithful intellect or I have again become a pessimist. I am only one at one time, not a self allowing intellect nor faith, their is no such choice.

I think you have to have both. Science and logic only go so far. We really don't know all the answers and so we have to have faith to handle the areas that we don't understand.
Sometimes we even have faith in science when logic tells us otherwise. It's a fine line we all walk.

I find that both are needed.
Faith to get you through life and to try and look to something better no matter now many times people try to change you, just to keep the faith, continue on wards and be yourself.
Logic helps to fulfill your dreams and allows you to know what you are doing, and how to achieve what you are going to do in life.
We each have our own song to play in life and I have lots of info that I think you will find quite helpful and enlightening:
http://ecowellness.multiply.com/ for excellent inspirational info within my blog to help not only our world and its creatures, but to also open peoples hearts and minds to many amazing wonders that life has to offer. I also have lots of info in my blog to help fuel peoples imaginations to many possibilities that can be found only in the minds eye.
Along with lots of environmental info, amazing environmental pictures and videos (These videos show the beauty of this world and what life can be like if people take the time to appreciate life’s true beauty).
Let us all strive for a greener/brighter future by helping to create a solid foundation for future generations to build upon, so we can hand them a beautiful world, filled with never ending awe and wonders!!
Where peoples differences and uniqueness are accepted, where we all live as one, helping one another so that we can all play our own mysteriously beautiful melodies in the never ending, awe inspiring, song of life :-)
I truly have faith in humanity and believe that someday our lives and the world in which we live will truly be transformed for the better.

Both are good. Faith brings and keeps people together. Logic keeps people guessing and thinking. I perfer logic myself. As many religions believe in faith, that's okay, but I can't see "faith."
