roper is a maytag appliance and maytag was bought by whirlpool so you should be able to get the part at any maytag or roper dealer....should be about 25` to 35 dollars including tax...

BTW, looking at that switch it looks like the kind you can get for a couple of bucks at Radio Shack ("microswitch" style) so if you are handy you might want to take it out and bring it to Radioshack to see if you can get one there.

I have never seen Lowe's have parts that specific to an appliance model.

Roper is made by Whirlpool. Check with them. What did you do, loose it? The hard part is the hindges. They curve under the top. They don't just lift out. It not a matter of just removing the small screws on each side of the lid.

about $10.00 for lid switch.look in the yellow pages for appliance parts&supplys.lowes&home depot won't have that part.

Look in your yellow pages for a business that specializes in appliances, parts and repairs. Probably get what you are looking for.

if the mach is older, just cut and twist the two wires [striped ends ] together, and tape them, its just a safty switch, Unplug it first
yes u should be able to get a new one, cost around $20,,
