Is Anne too boring? I really like it and its a family name I'd like to pass down (Anna is my name) but is it too boring?

In my opinion, it is very simple and boring.
If you absolutely must use Anne or some variant thereof, it would be better to use it as a middle name and perhaps use something more interesting as a first name.
Note: You don't necessarily have to choose some ultramodern cutesy name like kaitlyn or mckenzie if you do decide to use Anne as a middle name instead of first. You can still choose a classic name to go before Anne...like Elizabeth, Madeline, or Audrey. These all sound great with Anne as would many other classic names, if timeless is what you're going for.
Just because a name is old doesn't mean it's good. There are plenty of old names that are great, but I've never been fond of Anne, Anna, Annie, or any variant of them. Then again, that's just my opinion and she's your baby. If you want to call her Anne then don't let anyone stop you.

I think its both boring and timeless.
I like Anya, or I would just use Anne or Anna as a middle name.

I love the name Anne! I think that it's simple, yet very lovely and perhaps one of the most timeless names ever alongside Elizabeth. My little sister's middle name is Anne. You can always use the nickname Annie. Good luck and God bless!

Just a little boring, and it's a very simple and common name. I know a few Annes. I think Anya is nice though, or try Anise like the flower.
