The problem is the crumpets - in zero gravity the crumbs can get into the electronics and machinery and possibley cause shorts or disrupt the computer systems.
I don't think even the best tea and crumpets are worth damaging billions of dollars worth of equipment.

In spite of what "pandasex" says, some folks (including me)
do have a sense of humor. However, I fear the folks at NASA
might fail to see the humor in your demands. Therefore, you
may want to seek employment elsewhere until they get their
tea and crumpet manufacturing skills perfected.

I have the same exact problem, and I solved it by getting a special jacket with the following words printed in big letters on the back:
PROBLEMS RECEIVED 8:00 AM ONWARD.
ANSWERS Delivered AFTER 4TH Cup of TEA.
You should try the same approach.

They do not have to understand at all. There are hundreds of qualified applicants eager to take your place. Astronauts do not put their own comfort first. If you do, then you are out of the program so fast your head would spin.
