well right off the bat, you can come out and say it. its the illegal immigrants from our neighbors down south. saying hispanic is a generalization of us, and not all of us do that.
but anyway, what i think it is is that the american work force in general just doesnt want them in their country. because i guess what they want is for them to come in, do the dirty jobs that we would never think about doing, then kick them out. in generalization its just a matter of racism if you think about it

I am a retired Police Officer from the Ca. Az. Mexico border. I turned illegals over to the Border Patrol everyday. Sometimes the same one twice in the same day. Where I was is surrounded by farms. They walk pass the farms heading north to the cities. Everyone seems to have the idea that everyone in Mexico is a farm worker. The farm workers, when I retired, were making close to $12.00 an hour. I'm sure it has since increased. Pregnant women would sneak across the Border and to the woman, that I turned to the Border Patrol, they said America gives you money for children. Illegal immigration is a multi-billion dollar a year industry to Caldron. The average illegal family uses more than $19,000 a year in Government services than they pay in taxes. Go into any welfare office or Social Security office and it's like visiting Mexico. They are taking jobs that America's will do. Auto Body shops are taking advantage of the under the table pay they are willing to take. Why do you think cities are now starting to enact their own city codes to stop it. My town is being trashed by illegals that have no respect for others property. I'm sure, no I know I'm not the only one that their town is showing the negitive affects of criminal immigrants. Thats what they are. They broke our laws coming here and a concerted effort by Congress to deport them should be made. Instead they make lame excuses that they can't deport them. Yes you can. Follow the lead of those cities that jail them. Then have ICE deport them.
Additional: To the twit that thinks they do farm work no one else will. 90% of farm produce is havested by machine.
Here's another. My twin grand daughters third grade teacher says she can't provide the time to give the America kids the education they deserve because she has to spend so much time on the illegal children. That alone is destructive to America.

Actually, I disagree with you. We are all worried about those jobs being outsourced to India, China and the Philippines. And, I don't agree with you about the jobs hispanics are getting either. The employers are driving down wages for blue collar jobs that citizens used to have. It all started by the Union busting tactics of the Taft/Hartley act and where it all began and NAFTA and CAFTA are extending the nightmare for American workers today. Alot of people are suffering in this country because these jobs are going to illegals and being sent overseas. This is not something to take lightly. It's not the illegals fault. It's the fault of our government who sides with the employers and anti-union, anti worker and unbalanced pro-corporate business climate in this country. It's only going to get worse. People used to make a living in this country as carpenters and other blue collar jobs such as machinists etc. My dad and mom were 2 of them. Now those are being taken by illegals because they can be hired in as non-union workers. This is going on all over the country. It happened at a plant in one of the Southern states (ALabama, I think). Where the American workers who were primarily black were all fired. They liked their jobs and were making between $8 and $15 an hour. After they were all fired, the company hired all illegals for less than minimum wage.
I'd like to know what right our so called president has in forming a North American Union behind the backs of congress and the American people. Thus creating laws that benefit the N.A. Union and not the USA. This is just one more indication of this happening.
I'd also like to know why L.A is celebrating the Independence day of Mexico today? Since when do we celebrate the Independence day of any country other than the U.S in this country. Your tax payer dollars at work folks.

Your full of BS. Give me free medical, housing, food benefits and let me keep the paycheck and I'd do the work. Oh I'm white, a full time resident, and tax payer, so I dont qualify. Get real and go back to your free school but this time learn something your english is terrible. By the way i hate those call centers too. If illegal immigtrants didnt get all this free stuff from the government companies wouldnt have to offshore jobs to make up for illiterates.

I honestly believe that the premise of your question is not the source of America's concern with illegal aliens. In a post 9/11 country, it is absolutely insane that we have an estimated 12 million people in this country with no documentation - we don't know who they are, where they are or even exactly how many there are.
There are plenty of provisions in our laws that allow these people to enter and work legally in this country.
They idea that they do the work that Americans don't want to do may or may not have merit - the fact that they are costing our social services and causing other concerns (crime, gang bangers, ID theft, etc...etc.....) cannot be debated.

really its not that Americans wouldn't do the jobs..
i know a job..a white American applied...and an illegal Hispanic applied
the Hispanic got the job because he would work for less money then the American!
and its not just taking our jobs
we give them money..from our taxes...for food gas rent clothes..EVERYTHING..*immigration vouchers* and yet..we cant even give a homeless family that lost their house because of the main bread winner of the family losing their job...anything..government seems to prefer not to think about it and just drive right by them..

That is kind of like saying.." why did we abolish slavery and the blacks picking the cotton.. no white people wanted to do it"
Because some of these jobs are inhumane and so poorly paid...and big business is getting filthy rich off the backs of immigrants.
It is time they payed there fair share.. time the jobs were updated and modernized to the point that people would want to do them. i am not for the illegals, but I do feel sorry for many of them who are brought here and treated like slaves. And why our governments cannot see that... well, because most of them are getting big kickbacks from the companies.. and so it goes.. on and on and on!

I'm sick of hearing how americans don't want to do this or that. I've cleaned bathrooms and mopped floors for minimum wage. So maybe I'm one of the few left that will work instead of draw off of working americans

americans want the jobs, they don't want to work for nothing. pay decent wages and people will line up. offer substandard wages and what do you get. the hispanics might one day realize that they are being used. they are kept scared so they don't organize.

Actually, I am more worried about the jobs that get sent to Mexico.
Ask the 1500 folks who worked for Amana in Galesburg, IL if they miss their jobs.
I keep wondering why Mexicans keep coming here looking for work, when we make it easy for them to find work right there in Mexico.

I personally have no problem with legal hispanics working.
I support them.
But let's just see if any other country will allow 10 million illegal aliens in... and still the legals are paying for them.
