Turn the TV on the minute you walk in the door. Even if it just on CNN or a music station. Also get some candles. Don't know why but having a candle lit in the room I am in makes me feel more relaxed. When I am alone, I play games on Pogo.com or post on message boards. You feel connected to other people that way.

I lived alone for five years, and I loved it. I liked in an apartment complex which was structured as a dorm, and most of my neighbors were friendly, so I had a wonderful time. When it got lonely, I'd go watch tv, I'd go out, to walmart, or out for a walk. Chill with my ex, and his cat. Hang out with friends. Chill online. Listen to the radio. Call people, to see how they're doing. The trick to living alone is haVing friends u can count on. Find some things u like to do, and do them. I'm guessing u work, if u go to school too, then that'll kill time as well. So then between that and studying, u won't have much time for other things, but if u make the time, then these things I listed are some things u could do to kill boredom.

Well I just got married - - - to a law student so I'm entertaining myself A LOT. He's always studying and doing homework. So I do get bored pretty often. The things that help me are: reading books, playing online, decorating the house, learning to cook things I like to eat but dont know how to cook yet, calling friends, attempting to work out, watching tv, watching movies, and my favorite play with my dog :-p If I were single though, I have to admit I think I would go out and have some fun at a bar or something on weekends (but try not to make a nightly habit of it). Email me if you're that bored :D

I have been with my husband 16 yrs. but prior to meeting him I spent many years after my brief first marriage living alone. I loved the sanctity of it but yes there are times when you can feel bored. I made a lot of friends, loved to cook and had many dinner parties, joined clubs, found some new hobbies, and exercised a lot. I'm glad I had that experience because my husband has to travel a lot for business sometimes for a week at a time but I know what I have to do to take away the quiet and not mind. Plus I have two Maine Coon cats that are constant companions. I don't move around the house that they aren't with me. Pets are great for that. So find yourself some new things to do, push yourself to do them, and whatever you do don't lock yourself into your apartment all the time.

I have been living alone for sometime mostly inbetween relationships. I have many hobbies and do enjoy the quite and knowing all bills are from just me. Watching TV all the time is not recommended. Go on the computer there are plenty of people out there to talk to.

I live alone by choice. I like it for a hide away but I keep myself busy. Volunteer, help the older people in the building, join a club. The point being, you don't have to sit at home alone. I have someone I consider a soul mate. It just takes time. GET MOVING.

well you can read and watch TV but you cant watch it all the time. if you have lots of free time, you can become web famous and you can also learn things that are of your interest .
if you are very determined, you can also work out a lot
or learn a lot to become world famous.
also check out on other kinds of sports such as diving or golf(if you don't like it already)and learn stuff by just traveling.
if you travel a lot by car,you can take pictures to relive the boredom by recounting your adventures.
you can also hang out with friends.

I actually like being alone. I watch TV, or go visit my friends and sit there, or talk on the phone. Most of the time I study for the MBA and CPA exam/ There are always things to do and it always keeps you occupied.
