My opinion: Most definitely.
This obsession with sex outside of marriage, porn, and music containing sexual violence, stems back to the destructive, drug experiment, peacenik, and hippie ‘60’s.
Liberals back than were using the statement, “If it feels good, do it.” Liberals are also applying the destructive statement to themselves today too.
And look where it has brought us?
So where has the decency, morals, and values gone from this country?
Why are kids having their heads polluted with porn, instead of something constructive? (Porn degrades the value of women. It also teaches men to think of women as sex objects, not people.)
Why does America champion and hold up Hollywood sluts such as Paris Hilton, as a role model for our younger generation?
Why does the genre of rap primarily focus on only about sex, drugs, and violence? And why is this genre of music embraced as normal?
And why does the ACLU defend porno perves?

God, please help return America to normalcy/decency.Amen

To be fair though, not all liberals have degenerated into this kind of insanity.

God bless those who haven't.

It's not liberals who are so obsessed with sex hey are meeting men in restroooms (Craig), keeping mistresses on the public payroll (Wolfowitz), hiring male prostitutes (Haggard), chasing Congressional pages (Foley), or consorting with prostitutes while wearing diapers (Vitter).

The right might as well drop the pretense of being "morally superior." Every time they mouth off, all they do is show what hypocrites they are. By the looks of things, if the right-wing wants to findpeople who are obsessed with sex, all they have to do is go find a mirror. Just to drive the point home a bit more--theiers is the group in America with the highest divorce rate--and there's a reason for that! LOL

BTW--historically, its the current religious right's attitude toward sex that is abnormal. In fact, it is unique in world history for any culture/subculture to have such a repressiveview. Only the Victorian/modern neoconservative religious groups have ever carried sexual repression to such pathological extremes. Which is why you get the epidemic perversionsin their ranks we are continually seeing.

That's the only thing you can blame it on. Mind you we also evolved a rational mind (some of us anyhow), so we can override most instincts. Edit: "If you're obsessed with sex, at the cost of all other things, you're still an animal and not really evolved." Yet again Liberal as$licker shows his/her ignorance. Evolved doesn't mean becoming human. Bacteria evolved.

1. Who are you to judge? Why would I give two thoughts to your opinion?
2. Democrats or Liberals are responsible? It's not a political issue. Wasn't it a Dem's wife who pushed the whole Parental Advisory labels onto the record industry? Tipper???
3. The difference between the left and right is that the left promotes freedom of speech and tolerance, whereas the right just hides and covers up the immoral activities they involve themselves in.
4. Do you think this rant will change anyone's mind? Um..no. I suggest you retire in a convent.

Wow you are barking up the wrong tree. Kids like Paris Hilton because they're kids. They still see the world in rose colored glasses.

I'm not a fan of the liberals when it comes to economics. But the degradation you think is happening to "decency" and "moral values" have been going on everywhere for a long time now. Heck, I'm sure you did things your grandfather wouldn't approve of. Its natural because younger generations would always question the moral standards of the older ones. That is how worldviews evolve.

But you remind me of a book "Lila" where the author said that there are two values in society, one that stands still and one that is constantly moving. I guess you are there to balance against those who are your extreme opposite.

Actually, it's an outcrop of the puritanical, neo-Victorian repression. There's a political party that perpetuates repression by giving its platform over to and pandering to right-wing religious coalitions to legislate repressive and counter-productive dictates of their 'morality'... help me here, I know it starts with an 'R'........

Hold on there Skippy! In your additional details you said,
"Look at Bill Clinton and Barney Frank." then went on to say "Few isloated Repub incidents aren't responsible for the degenerate meltdown". So are you really saying that the actions of two Dems lends credibility to your argument, but that the actions of a few isolated Repubs do not? Can you not see the blind hypocrisy in that statement??

I wouldn't say that all together. Sex is probably the only thing the whole country has in common.

As for the media exploiting it to sell their products to children in their teen years, some of it is despicable.

Lack of education, abortion clinics, prostitution, pornography etc is the negative side.

Anyone who doesn't enjoy sex has to be abnormal.
That aside, it is a private act. (Assuming it is between concenting adults.)
Talking about it will always lead to trouble.
What happens inside of your bedroom should STAY inside your bedroom!
If that principle were to be followed, all sorts of problems could be avoided.
What is normal for one person may be considered aberrated to another.
Why make it public?
Conservatives seem to be more likely to keep it private.
When some window-peeper reports on a private activity, then everyone tries to make a BIG deal out of it.
Liberals BRAG about their aberrated behavior, and THAT is disturbing to some of the population.
Just keep it private!

well sex was a part of the communist manifesto
one of its goals is to " oversexualize " a society
and infest it like tooth decay ultimatley bringing its demise
and I personally get sick of the sexual barrage on television
for instance , i saw a yougurt commercial and they had a girl prancing around in her undies , and I'm thinking what the F , does this chick in panties have to do with yogurt?
hey Im all for sex but gimme a break already,
and girls gone wild , damn ,,,,

People have been obsessed with sex since Adam and Eve. America has had a VERY conservative culture regarding sex, and still does in comparision to many nations. I suggest that you travel abroad. Go to Italy, France and other nations in Europe. You will see that America is still rather backwards when it comes to sex.

My take: Sex is just a bodily function. I don't see why we make such an issue out of it. Every mammal on Earth has sex just the way humans do...and they don't seem to have all these hang ups that Americans do.

Are you saying that extramarital sex and homosexuality didn't exist before 1967?

RESPONSE - You mentioned Clinton and Franks but for some reason you forgot to include Larry Craig or Mark Foley.
