8600GT, especially the factory overclocked variants w/ ddr3 v-ram. Standard 8600GT even beats the X1600XT (faster than Pro) here:

8600GT has more robust GPU architecture w/ 32 stream processors. It also has better HD video processor.

Personally, I would go with the NVIDIA GeForce 8600, but the specs you provided were just the Graphics Processing Unit(GPU) model, not an actual graphics card. The 8XXX Series of NVIDIA cards support Directx 10 where as the 1600Pro only supports Directx 9. Direct x 10 is starting to get big and most games in the future will use Directx 10

The 8600 supports DirectX 10, the X1600 does not.

Plus, the 8600 is faster. The 'equivalent' would be the X2600, but nVidia is far better right now.

the 8600 GT. I have an 8600m GT (256mb) in my laptop, and it runs everything perfectly. even bioshock on high settings.

it also scores a 5.8 on the Windows Vista computer-score, where a '5.0' is the fastest hardware of all when vista debuted.

That 1GB 8800GT is a advertising and marketing gimmick meant to con noobs. That GT will in no way use that 1GB, its no longer speedy adequate and makes no difference in overall performance. 512 is the candy spot. the two the taking part in cards you listed are kinda vulnerable. i might reccomend the 9600GT or the 3850. The x1950xt, in case you will discover one, is a hidden treasure field.
