This person was not like this at younger ages--I'm trying to figure out what has happened--and if anything needs to be 'fixed'

They are lying - that's my experience.

Hiding all the time, hiding what, i am not sure. My partners daughter has just turned 30. She's never kept a straight story since I've known her - lies to us daily. We try and try, god have we tried.... but nothing seems to work.

So she can stay in her own little lying world - we've done our best.

(sorry if this seemed harsh)

hi happy daze, hope you are not losing your peace of mind with the topsy turvy world you are in right now. people who cant keep a story straight are easy to work out. They are liars. we all deny it if we care about them, for a while, but really, deep down, you already know the truth. They are a liar. They live by an agenda, and you might think that in time, when they get what they are after, in their agenda, they wont lie any more, but they will. My last partner was honest to a fault, ask a question of her and the truth was all that could come from her lips, painful sometimes, but thats the kind of person i will look for again. A liar in your life will only make you unhappy.

If it is a family member he/she may be hiding something. The hardest part about telling lies is recall what lies you have told to whom
(ex liar, too many dead brain
cells)
