Happens all the time...I think that YA should move the answerer's avatar down the list and update the time of the answer if some one goes back and edits it! :D (Glad it isn't just me who notices this stuff!)

That is called position squatting, and is a form of cheating. It IS a violation.
Straight from the Community guidelines. Sentence #2.
Cheating.
Our points system is meant to reward community members for sharing questions and answers, so creating multiple accounts or posting content for the sole purpose of gaining points or soliciting others for points is not permitted. Posting filler answers to a question in an effort to be first to answer, or copying and pasting other members’ answers, are also forms of cheating. Read more >
Props to StephenK below me. Had he put the CG before I did, I would have pulled this post.

As far as I know no one has copied mine. I try to original in my answering.. I dont have any of this IDK crap.. If I cant take the time out to answer in 2 or more sentences I just dont answer. I would never tell someone to look it up. I usually answer before I look at the other answers anyway. I dont want to be called a copy cat. Now that's the way I see it. And no I havent look at your other answers either.

Person B should be violated. They should think of their own answer, trying to help or if they can't help, then they shouldn't answer at all. People do that to me all the time & I report it. I was pissed last night because as an answer, someone copied & pasted my question & then got thumbs up. I was SO pissed!

That has never happened to me. I think it should be a violation although i don't know how it would be recorded as person B going back and editing his answer. I would be pissed if i was person C

yeah that happened to me, I hate it!
I saw a question and I answered. I looked at the answers before me after I submited mine. then then one above me was like "idk" and then later on I saw their answer change to be like mine.
I was so mad >_<
something else that would make me mad is if they got best answer if I was the one that had the right answer and they changed it to be what I put
