Good idea to check with wreckers that tow big rigs off the Interstates that are in bad shape.

Many will be towed to repair shops that handle big rig repairs. Most rigs towed off the Interstate are totalled and can't be drivien to a shop for minor damage repairs.

A wrecking service that handles big rig tows will generally hold the rig until the insurance company has settled the case and then it will be dismantled and sold off in pieces. Might get two good tanks off of several damaged rigs and the other crushed or split tanks will be sold for scrap, etc..

Good Luck!

I've hauled fuel on the ice roads in Nunavut where the temps would get to -60 Celsius. We usually dumped a gallon of methanol in the tanks every time we filled up. Guys who didn't do this usually got stranded half way across a lake. Problem with running in the U.S. is that you can fuel in the south where it is warm and travel north where it is cold and the fuel that was fine in the south will jell up north. Add some methanol to the tanks and hope for the best.
