I will tell you my story, 4 1/2 years ago I was very close to my family members even closer than a daughter is with their mother. I was pretty much raised by my grandmother and aunt. I loved them more than anyone. Then something tragic happen, my daughter was molested by my cousin while she was in the care of my grandmother. My grandmother thought that since she was in her care when this happened that everyone was going to assume that she had something to do with it. I handled everything as I thought I should, took her to the hospital right away and got all the evidence that I needed to persue, let me add my cousin was 21 and my daughter was 4, I was outraged when my grandmother said that it was all a lie. I was even more outraged when my aunt said it was a lie whent he same thing happened to her sons. This hurt more than anything could ever hurt. My daughter was hurt I was hurt, and I felt as though my family were all dead to me. Not only did I press charges but I stood up in court 3 years after it happened and said my statement in front of my whole family (except my grandmother who didn't show up) He plead guilty and these were his words "I did it, I'm sorry, can I move on with my life". Those words will haunt me for life. The best thing that came out of all of it is when I made my statement the judge looked at all my family members and said you are all ignorant, and if she feels that she has lost anything because of this, you are the ones that have lost, you don't deserve her love for you. You ask if we are supposed to love our family members? Yes, you are supposed to love them, even after all of the things I have mentioned above, I still love them and miss them all dearly. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone is human. My cousin I could really care less about but the rest of the family I miss them all very much and wish this never happened. But it did and it ws a huge loss. I will never stop loving them though.

Blood thicker than water. Never burn your bridges to your family cause there may be a time when your in need and there's nobody else to turn to atleast you have your family.
I always have this saying, when I was going through a hard period of time, "when no one would give me the time of day, mom's would buy me a watch." That means when down and no one was around the only person that was there for me was my mother. So family should be loved, they'll be there through thick and thin.

You are pretty much BORN loving your family members.
Only can TIME and the actions you to each other in this time can hurt your relationship between yourself and a family member.
I think it would take a lot of BAD TIME and ACTIONS to corrupt your relationship. Even after saying you "HATE" someone, really doesn't mean you don't love them... it may even show that you have hope of reconciling? Meaning you still LOVE them... but hate what you or what they did?
