Dylan by a landslide!! he wrote and sang his own songs! Jim wrote some good music, but nothing compared to Dylan! More artist cover Dylan the the Doors!!

I am a huge Dylan fan. I've been to see him concert dozens of times.Also a doors fan,but lyrically Dylan takes it. Performance and vocals definitely Morrison. Good question!!

as far as a lyric writer Bob Dylan
as a song writer you cannot compare them because the rest of the Doors helped write the songs.

"Positively 4th Street" is absolutely devastating...Jim Morrison was good with the odd mute nostril agony stuff to make you feel brainy, but Dylan wrote real.

You may not understand it all, but Bob should win hands down. Remember "All Along the Watchtower" and "Hurricane"... and that is just two. He had some help on "Hurricane", but you can't do everything by yourself.
Jim is great, but Bob writes the songs.
