That if you have a myspace account the colleges wont take you in??!! i heard they search the databases and tell you that you had a myspace so you are not allowed in this college!! Is it true??

That is a bunch of bull. I have ppl on myspace that are in college. N they had it before they enrolled too. Colleges might check your myspace to see if they can tell what kind of person you are though.

I think it could be a good idea not to ban possible students but maybe ween out the ones who might be trouble. For example if that psycho from Virginia Tech had a myspace account I wouldn't have wanted him at my school.

Nope. Don't believe that garbage. They aren't allowed by law to mingle in your private online affairs. Besides, there's no way to prove or disprove that you even have a Myspace without violating Internet privacy laws via tracing IP addresses. What you saw was a lie.

What she said is correct, however I have heard employers set up fake accounts to find you on MySpace to see what you are like.

Haven't heard they won't accept you, but I did hear to be careful what you put on myspace, that employers can check you out. So don't post anything you wouldn't want to come back and bit you later.

oki read an article i believe in cosmopolitan and they said some colleges actually do look at some myspaces to see how the kids are but i think it's messed up because that's your personal space and they shouldnt base that on if you should or shouldnt go to the school
