The Dems to finally stand up and take control of the congress and senate instead of letting Bush run all of the branches of government. The Dems need a new message instead of being so afraid of offending the right wing and middle of the political spectrum. Their political advisers are doing them a great disservice in worrying about this. They know this war is wrong yet they voted for it's funding this last spring again. That's why their poll numbers plummeted. They had the American people behind them and then lost it because they gave the house and senate away to Bush again. They need to grow a pair of cahonies for once. Geesuz, now the American people don't trust any of the government to do what the people elect them to office for.
gray wolf... I'm with you on that. GO KUCINICH.

We will always remain divided because that is what the job of media conglomeration's main ambition is. Make everything a partisan issue and see how nothing gets done along the lines of what's in the best interest of the average American. Your thinking must be swayed far away from standing together for a common purpose for the good of all of the average taxpayers. Big business owns the American government and has more power than ever before to defraud you out of your tax dollars.

Disagree,
we are united, we got vote in a peaceful fashion every four years to change if we choose our government,
we collectively pay taxes to a central authority that uses the revenue for projects like a military, or federal law enforcement,
we collectively have an economy, I am able to go rent DVDs, buy milk, buy gas.
If you mean "politically" . . . I think our strength is our diversity of political ideology.

A strong leader who will stand up to and reject both the extreme far right and the extreme far left lunatics.
We have had enough of Moveon.org trying to represent mainstream democrats and the likes of Rush trying to represent the mainstream republicans.
Truth be told, the vast majority of Americans are not buying into this rhetoric - but the very well financed extremes are the loudest noises we all seem to hear on a daily basis and this only serves to divide us further.

I have no idea . . . the only article that came close to offering a reasonable explanation was an astrology chart in Vanity Fair Magazine which indicated that the U.S. (according to birth date of the nation) was under the direct influence of Mars (or some planet associated with conflict) and things would be rocky until the year 2017. It also predicted financial fiascoes until the year 2012. I'm not saying I believe in astrology but it's the only article that made any kind of sense.

We need to get back to a point where we can have different opinions without hating each other. Used to be when we had different opinions we respected each others right to have a different opinion and we sat down and worked things out. Now , we just go on TV and bash each other in a cowardly and immature manner.

To what cause?
I don't think the people will ever unite. That's why our country is such a mess. We can't even agree on what our problems are, much less solving them.
