Well, Personally when I see this add, I only look at the processor the ram and the hard disk.
Single core processor 3.6ghz is good, I dont think it has enough ram, Is 120gb enough for you?
It is unlikely that you will be able to do anything other than office work on it. Integrated graphics will not allow it to play many games from the last 2-3 years.
Xp can work on 512mb but it might be quite slow. 1gb would be better.
I have no idea what the motherboard is so I have no idea how easy it is for you to upgrade.
It is a good deal if you are doing office work, have you thought about linux; Ubuntu

It may be OK. It sound good to me if I wanted a Desktop and had the OS. XP would be good (Just do some pricing if you not already have), but, for myself I have started using Ubuntu Linux so would probably load Ubuntu on it or another Linux that free.
Remember the price of an OS can jack the price up and you may have done just as good buying something new with the OS already installed.

Yes, that is a good price for such a computer. If I were you, I would add at least another 512 MB, and also a graphics card with at least 128 MB on board.
WInXP is hard to get now, try out a version of Linux, such as Ubuntu, CentOS, or fedora. These have nice graphical interfaces these days. And, they are FREE!

frankly not really
1 its Intel Celeron pretty shitty CPU
2. you have integrated graphic card, which means if you graphic card goes down, you either will have disable from CMOS settings. and buy a new graphic card, or buy a new motherboard
3 same story with audio.
if you will planning to play serious games you need serious video and sound cards.
plus get OEM Windows XP. its cheaper (you'll get CD with Cd key, no manuals)
P.S Working with PC for 8 years, from my Experience integrated most of the times sucks.

It's fine for a basic workstation. Web surfing, word processing, listening to music. It'll do all that kind of stuff like a champ.
Windows XP or if you're in the mood for something else check out PCBSD, OpenSuSe, or Ubuntu

well... all I can say is that it is extremely budget-oriented. personally, the laptop I am on is over $2,000.
If it comes with no OS, it is likely meant for Linux, but that can also mean that if you already have a copy of windows to put on it, it is much cheaper.
it is good enough for what most people use computers for: internet, word processing, music, schoolwork etc., but definately not for games or video authoring.
I would not suggest vista for it. xp pro would be satisfactory.

It's a pretty good deal. Don't buy it if you plan on doing intensive gaming. But if you plan on using it for casual use, it'd be more than enough. A good Os would be ubuntu linux(free)
But if you prefer windows, go with xp pro
