how many of you would spend your life neglecting your child and meeting strangers from the internet,getting wasted,and making up pretend clones of yourself so people will give you attention?? I know "someone" like that and they actually think people really like them except they're the ones that bug people all the time and make up stupid stuff that isn't even funny.

That wouldn't be a bad research for a statistic. But i think if people do that, its not such a big problems and i don't think its such a big deal as when people know that its summer, its hot and leave their kids in cars.
I would like to spend my life getting wasted.. it just doesn't work out of for me. not enough parties with tolerant neighbors :) another words not enough people that want to get wasted everyday.

If you really do know this person you should give them a shout out and tell them what they are doing wrong. They may be so wrapped up into themselves they don't see the wrong they are doing. Child neglect, meeting strangers from the internet, over induldging in substances and pretending to be something one is not is definately not an emotionally healthy person. This person needs help!!! They are going to have to come up with a new mental illness created by peoples abuse of the internet and bad things that go along with it. Who knows maybe......intercide (slowly killings oneself by destroying oneself through abuse of the internet)!!!!!

Take out the Internet related stuff, and change the meeting on the Internet to "pimping yourself to the media" and you have the McCanns described perfectly

I would. They took my kid less than 3 hours ago. But did I notice? Nope. Well, I did, but only cause my oldest didn't answer when I told him to get me a beer. And all my friends on the internet and I meet here every night...so :P to you.

This person is very self focused. People like this are or were usually drug users. It distorts their sense of values.
I would hope that counseling could help this person. The child should find help thru other relatives. It is a bad environment for him/her.

I know of a mother of three who almost completely ignores her children while she sits in front of the computer 18 hours a day. She's divorced. Those kids would starve if it weren't for their dad and grandmother.
