I have a 1989 Chevy C1500, 5 liter, 5speed that I bought new. Has 156,386 miles on it right now. Engine and transmission are untouched. Also have a 1985 BMW 325e that I bought as it was headed for the wrecking yard. I put bearings and a head gasket in the engine at 173,000 miles. Now has 255,000 miles and still gets me to work every day. Its rough, but dependable. My wife drives a 1996 Plymouth Voyager with 201,200 miles on it. It has had some work done, but nothing major. Still plan on driving all three of these vehicles until they blow up, or the Beemer rusts out.

Traded in my 1990 Chevy Pick-up 1 1/2 yrs ago with 244,000 miles on it. It still got almost 20mpg, and didn't leak or burn a drop of oil, and it never needed any engine work done to it other than a few tune-ups.
