Although I am sure many will disagree with me, I would love to see more ladies dressed in the apparel of the civil war era. The dresses worn on special occasions were not only elegant but had a beauty and craftsmanship that were well above that of today. A bit bulky and I am sure the ladies hated the trouble of getting dressed in these outfits, but there was a uniqueness that not only showed off their individual beauty and shapeliness, but also left imagination. Here is an example of what I think is an absolutely stunning dress.

I also liked the attire you describe, as well.

I love the chunky heeled shoes and the platform shoes....those are and were great. The boot-cut jeans are great and I hope they stay in style.....they need to bring back the slacks that are wide-leg (you know, straight wide all the way up, not a bell-bottom).
Frilly shirts, with lace or ruffles at the neck or down the front and at the cuffs. Those are great!!!

My answer is from the 20s-50s. The syle of dressing substitute into user-friendly, yet stylish. in recent times, i can not stand to work out adult adult males with pants putting off their butts. There could be a regulation against that and additionally women who discover it mandatory to tutor their thong to anybody.

My friends and I just went to see Hairspray and came away talking about how much fun it would be to dress in the 50s and 60s style dresses. I'm all for jeans and t-shirts, but I think it would be cool to dress like that once in awhile.

I was always a fan of those flip-up sunglasses from the '80s. Mine were black rims with neon green outlining the sunglass lenses.

You know how during the great depression people would use barrels in place of shirts and pants? That's coming back.

I don't really care if any of the styles come back. I wear whatever I want to anyway.
