wonder woman is stronger than supergirl. Wonder woman has strength equal or sometimes slightly greater than superman and superman is stronger than supergirl even though they are from the same planet. Wonder woman has fought superman on more than one occasion and has not lost. Supergirl is a strength driven character but is more suited in teen titans than the justice league.

I don't know where some of the other answerer's are getting their info from, but Wonder Woman is NOT stronger than Superman. That's just freakin crazy. Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) is said to have the exact same powers as Superman: The same powers at the same levels. So Supergirl can fly and run and generally move at thousends of miles per hour (light speed in pre-crisis), lift thousands of tons (billions in pre-crisis), is totaly invincible, can shoot heat vision, cold breath, and super-powerful breath, and has super senses. Wonder Woman can fly but not as fast as Supergirl and has super strength but not to a Superman/Supergirl level. Wonder Woman is super durable but NOT invincible. So Supergirl should be able to fly up to Woner Woman at super speed and punch her in the face 500 times at super speed with super strength and totaly smash her skull in before Woman Woman gets a chance to react. Even though Wonder Woman is supposed to be a good fighter and has quick reflexes, that is no match for SUPER speed.

Also, I wanna point out that Wizard Magazine published an article a little while ago inwhich they listed character's strength levels and they said that Wonder Woman is stronger than Supergirl and that Supergirl could only lift about 90 tons or something like that. I dont know where they got off saying that, because the comics themselves say that Supergirl is as strong as Superman, and that Superman can lift thousands of tons. That article was BS.

I also wanna mention that when they have characters fight in the comics stories, they often make the fights seem more evenly matched for the sake of drama. For example, they'll say that Supergirl has super speed and that Wonder Woman does not... but then they'll show them fighting and have Supergirl be like "Oh! She's such a quick fighter... I can't match her reflexes!" It doesn't hold true to what they claim their powers are. But if you really think about how it a fight would realistically go down if the characters were real, Supergirl would win hands down without question.

Supergirl is vastly stronger in every way. Wonder Woman comes from a tribe of Amazonian women found on Paradise Island. She is an earthling; she may be stronger than the average human but her powers are no where near the Kryptonian known as Supergirl. Wonder Woman's strengths are about equal to that of Captain America.

the current supergirl - Kara is kryptonian just like Superman. She far outclasses Wonder Woman. As said above, wonder woman from time to time challenges superman. Superman cant go around beating up women - thats just how he is, so he has often avoided and misdirected her anger.
