i got a civic that has a d16 and the car speedomator somtimes works and somtimes i doesnt wats wrong wit it

the speedometer works off of a signal from the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission. That sensor is a magnetic pick-up sensor that sends pulses as a toothed wheel passes through the magnetic field of the sensor.

The sensor provides an input to the control unit for the vehicle powertrain and for the speedometer. In all probability the vehicle speed sensor is failing. Its almost always the sensor as the speedometer itself only reports what the sensor tell it.
