It depends on what you mean by "why?"

From the standpoint of science, "why" means "what are the factors that led to the current development, and how do they function?" From the standpoint of most non-scientists who word this question this way, "why" means "what is its 'purpose'?"

Perhaps a better question is: "Why do you believe there has to be a 'why' to the universe?" But then, that question would better belong in Psychology, not Astronomy.

That is precisely why we have a Big Bang theory of creation .
Maybe theTheory must have some Answer.As the theory is the most accepted theory on the nature of the Universe ,scientists must know .The theory has been around long enough for Cosmologists to draw some conlusion. The theory does have many merits. It certainly is problaby not Useless.

... because God exists! Or to put it another way, in a question that I've yet to find answered by people of agnostic or atheist persuasion, "If there is no God, why should anything exist at all?"

i.e. Why isn't there just nothing: dark, empty nothingness? The sheer size, majesty and beauty of the universe with its incredibly-precise scientific laws - all of it is Signs pointing to the One and Only.

so we can ask why it exsists and stuff- i don't have problem of "why" we are here, i feel at peace just being here. i want to know what all's out there.
