Ok... just wondering if this happens with anyone else - my daughter is 3 and a half months old, she really seems to enjoy tummy time, but while she is down there and holding her head up - she always kicks too hard or leans too far to one side and ends up rolling over! Its hard to keep her on her tummy. The rolls definately arent intentional, haha. She will just lean a little too far, and over she goes! Is this normal?? lol.

Thats what tummy time is for, you put her on her tummy so she will roll over. Thats the whole point.. lol. Once she's on her back it becomes back time, so she will learn to roll both ways.

This is a cute question! Made me smile :)

its ok if she rolls over, actually that's wonderful. my son just turned 5 month today and hates tummy time still. he just rolled about 2 weeks ago which is normal but he could roll from back to front for a long time. pretty soon she'll figure out how she rolled and do it on purpose! lol it's ok thouggh and pretty normal

she seems happy. my baby hated tummy time till she was 5mths. my first baby was a real tummy girl and rolled over first at 7 weeks its just a natural thing to learn to do make it a game and keep rolling her back

Yep, that is how they learn. They really don't know how to do things "intentionally", so everything they learn is by accident. It seems even when you try to "teach" a baby how to do something, they won't pick up on it until they are ready to try it on their own. Watch out! Pretty soon you will find her across the room!

YES! Flipping over is a good thing, it's a normal developmental milestone. Applaude her for it!
