Take hip hop classes. You can probably skip the beginner level and go to intermediate or advanced. It's better than watching a video, because the teacher will explain you how to achieve the desired look. Dance is full of illusions - what you see is not how you dance it. With taking classes your progress will be faster, too. If you can't find classes maybe you can find a friend who's a good dancer and who can teach you. Feedback is helpful. But in this case watch out if he/she is actually helping - good dancers without teacher training might not know how to teach.
"Practice, practice practice" is a good strategy when you know what you're working on and how to improve it. Otherwise you might be reinforcing some bad dance habits wich is not a disaster, but they are a bit hard to get rid of.
How long will it take depends on too many things. How good of a teacher you can find, how talented you are, how much time can you spare, how good is "good" and so on.

I know the way you suppose. I've best been dancing for 2 years, however now I have 3 elements within the Nutcracker. It's effective how a lot you upgrade while you are in need of to get larger. What does not kill you makes you more potent, simply be the fine dancer you'll be and you'll be able to be effective considering that you're. I simply inspiration I'd provide you a bit recommendation that I obtained while feeling down as a dancer. Just "Dance like no-frame's looking."

I think if you have a dance studio around you then sign up for hip-hop if it is possible. If you can't then I would suggest getting help from your friends, or watching videos of Omarion or people in general that are good at dancing on YouTube or aol or google videos.

Its sounds cliche, but PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE... sign up for classes.. but not just hip hop. I find taking or learning different techniques from different styles helps you become a stronger dancer. Also, make sure you take the steps and make them fit you. The best dancers do this, they learn a step and make it look good on them.

Dancing is not that hard if you can just move. The best way to learn to dance like them are to watch their videos, and listen to their music. I been dancing for years now and everyday you will learn something new. So just DANCE.
