This month was my first cycle of taking clomid and I read on here the best time to take it would be at night around 7:00 pm because you get less side effects cause the side effects comes while your sleeping and you won't notice them, well the first pill I took I only had little cramps in my pelvic area but not pain full and I went right to sleep with no problems on the second and third day I had aches in my breast that came and go then it went away and at night I had trouble sleeping so I took a hot bath and drank some hot milk and that helped me go to sleep, I had hot flashes during the night so the hot bath work on that too cause when I got out I was cool, I didn't gain any weight I lost weight, I lost like 7lbs within like 6,7 days I didn't really have much of an appetite and when I ate I got full real fast and yes I did drink alot of water so that might of help too, but I know if I don't get pregnant with this cycle the next cycle of clomid I'm taking in the morning so I won't have too much trouble sleeping again I think clomid effects each one of us differently some people get side effects and some don't hope I help out some what ,Best of luck and tons of baby dust to you!

Side Effects Of Clomid

I never experienced the weight gain and bloating, but it is not to say that it not possible.. drinking water will definitely help..

As for lessening the side effects all together here is how you should take the medication..

How many mg?

If you are taking 50mg, take it at night..if there are any side effects like headaches or mild stomach upset you will be less likely to notice it at night.

If 100mg, take 1 pill at breakfast with food and then take the other at bedtime and with milk.

If 150mg, take 1 in the am at breakfast with food, and 2 at bedtime with milk and maybe a light snack that wont upset your stomach.

I never had any side effects from Clomid taking it this way.

I produced many follicles and became pregnant in one cycle of 100mg.

Best of luck..baby dust..

I had terrible side effects while taking clomid. My husband called me crazy daily and I was. It didn't help me though becasue I had PCOS and was not ovulating. If this is your problem as well, talk to your dr about glucophage as a treatment. It worked for me. My son is now 13 months old

I took the pill at night and about thirty minutes before eating dinner. That seemed to help me out a LOT! Most of my hot flashes were at night, Clomid made me sleepy so at night was perfect. Drinking water is a good idea as well as cutting back 1) your salt intake 2) watching your caffeine intake. I cut back to one soda a day and noticed a huge improvement with the bloating. Salt just encourages water retention. Plus, with drinking all that water, you'll pee more so you'll flush more out. Good luck!

* Over stimulation of the ovaries causing production of many eggs

The only side affect I had from clomid was being very very grumpy and irritable and I am not sure how you could change that. In the end getting pregnant was well worth being grumpy for awhile.

Music forces you to eat more. According to a study by the journal Psychology in addition to Marketing, soft, classical tunes encourage you to definitely take time over your food, so you consume more foods. So, switch off – silence will always make you more aware of what you’re applying your mouth.
