It is a great source of income for many people in this country. Most of our soldiers who are there want to be there. There are great things happening there that is never depicted on the news, such as human welfare, schools and hospitals.
Also, the death toll there is not as ridiculous as everyone makes it out to be. Several hundred times more Americans have died in drunken driving accidents here than the amount that have died from the war since it started.

I plan on building a summer home there. It'll be just like the Hamptons.

The business of war, no matter how profitable, is an immoral reason to fight or protract a war. Or do you really not know or care?

The death toll IS ridiculous -- not just that of American soldiers who are dying to protect Halliburton profits and Bush's delusions, but also of Iraqi civilians and non-combatants. Half of the population of Iraq is now CHILDREN. Children who are dying by the thousands. Those who survive will grow up to hate America. (And in your case, sir, would they be wrong?)

While I am sure this perpetual cycle of violence and hell suits some just fine, because it keeps us in the war business even longer, that is a damnable calculus. If there is a God or an Allah I do believe those responsible would burn in hell.

Our misguided motivation for preemptive war was, supposedly, peace. If profit is truly our purpose it is upon every decent American on the planet to be against this immoral, horrible war.

Purely political. In that it is used to divide the people and bring support to a runner for presidency. Granted we need people just as competent at home to protect our communities and rebuild or relocate our towns , basically when we can see all the good they are doing in other countries we can also see what has not been done at home. And there is the fact that many of our people will unite with another blood line, just to point out a few views.

Young Men and Young Woman, are dying every day over there in Iraq. Their parents, are having to bury these people and it is not fair and right. It does not seem to be getting any better, and the body count continues. Have a good night.

Please, for once, think! and open your eyes. Young men and women are dying for no good reason (and don't give me that "They are dying for our freedom crap"). We are here in the United States. We need our borders secure. We need "our" National Guards over "here" in case of an emergency. We need "our" airports, train stations and Bus stations secure. We need "our" bridges rebuilt. We need "Our" health care system to provide for everyone that needs it. We need "our" teachers well paid so that we graduate the best for our future.

My point I'm trying to make is it's pointless to referee a civil war in Iraq because the Iraqis have been fighting each other for hundreds of years and when we finally do leave, the are going to continue to fight. We don't need our young men and women to be taking bullets and getting blow up for no good reason. God forbid if Iran or North Korea decide to press their luck and bomb the United States. Our Men and Women are going to be to worn out to fight.

Well, we have killed countless thousands, destroyed the country's infrastructure, and created a civil war within the country.
What more can we do?
It's time to go.
