The Coney Dog (hot dog with beanless chili, onions and mustard) is an everyday event for some here in Michigan. There are Coney Island restaurants all over. I'd say Leo's is the best overall. National is second, with the best chili!

I have read everyone's responses and it seems that they may be talking about something completely different than you. They are talking about the foot long hot dogs served with chili, cheese and onions and other fixings. I believe that you are referring to the dog in your avatar picture. A coon dog? I lived in VA for years and know that a lot of people pride themselves on their coon dogs. They treat them better than some of them treat their own families. Am I right? Or I am the nut?
