My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for almost a year now without any luck. The probelm is my periods I might get it one month then won't get them for next few months.
I started seeing a doctor, at first she said to have a blood test and after the result she said I would have to go on Clomid but she wants me to have the HSG test just to make sure that there is no blockage then I had to wait again for the month and had to take Provera to force periods so that I can go for the test, everything came back normal now again this month Im taking provera to force periods so I can start taking Clomid.
It is very frustrating, its all I think about 24/7, Its making me crazy.
Has anyone else gone through this procedure to get pregnant? if yes, did it work for you? how many months did you have to be on Clomid? Any help would me greatly appriciated.

I never took fertility drugs, so I certainly don't think I know anything about that, but I did go through a 5 and 1/2 year gap between babies, with 3 miscarriages. I remember wanting to conceive so desperately. I cried so much. The reason I'm writing is to speak to you about thinking 24/7 about this and going crazy. I've heard so many times that stressing over getting pregnant can have negative effects on getting pregnant...not to mention the misery you are going through (and possibly putting your spouse and family through - no offense intended here) I would like to urge you to get some help for your emotional well being. Maybe you can find someone trustworthy to talk this over with, it might really ease your heart and that can only be good.
Good luck to you.

There is a possiblity that you have PCOS as do I . There is a website called www.soulcysters.com. I have been a member for about 3 years! It is packed for of info on TTC. As for the HSG lots of women have gotten pregnant after the HSG. The clomid results varies woman to woman...

I was on Clomid for two months when I became pregnant. My second son was conceived naturally without any fertility pills. For most women Clomid should work within six months. I wish you the best and hope that you get pregnant within the first cylce. Good luck to you.

You appear to be over anxious.
You havnt given your age and any such history in your family
If you are under 35 forget the doctor, tests etc relax and enjoy the life
get your man tested for simple semen count
