Hi Valerie. Think about all of the technological marvels in your life that have resulted from science and biology. Here are a few examples:
Computers
The Internet
Anesthesia for painless surgery
Antibiotics
Better building materials for more energy efficient homes
Cellphones
Airbags and anti-lock brakes for safety when driving
The list is endless.
Think about how your life would be different without these products of science and biology. Knowledge is progressing so rapidly in the scientific fields that researchers estimate total knowledge in biology (as one example) is DOUBLING every three to five years. That means in the next five years mankind will double all of the scientific knowledge about biology that is known today! We can't even imagine the future products and benefits that science is discovering today, but they will be many and amazing.

Actually, I think a lot of Americans don't believe in science since they continue to believe in junk like Intelligent Design.
Otherwise, I don't think about biology.
