In alabama there isn't a road test required for a bike license.
You should be able to just transfer your license and whatever endorsments you have now. Just do it before you expire. If not they will make you take a road test for your car and a written test for the car and bike.
You vehicles will have to be inspected when they are registered for Bama.

I am 48 and when I was 16 in the state of Kansas they automatically gave you the motorcycle classification if I all ways renewed my license on time and told them I wanted to keep that classification designated as M on our license then yes I would be grandfathered in I assume that your state follows those rules however if you ever lost that classification I would take a motorcycle safety class at the end of the class when you pass you have already passed the riding test and only have to take the written and eye exam

I am thinking, you are right about the, grandfather clause, especially since a 14 yr old could get a motorcycle license in Alabama But ...................................
If the motorcycle comes from out of state, it must be inspected by an official at the tag office.
Good luck with your move.

"When in doubt, check it out"
You can't really do anything about it at the moment.
When you get to Alabama, go to the local DMV and ask at the information line.
