Not the same, but I was very young at the time. I have grown and matured, what I look for now would be different that a much younger person. The same, no, maybe better, definitely different.
We were living on raging on hormones before, now we use our brains, they last longer!
Compatibility, patience, acceptance, companionship are more in tune with our age group

I found my first true love at the age of 47. I had been married twice and was not ever going to do it again. The first one was high school sweetheart young get out of my parents house "love" but I had two wonderful sons with this man, the second I knew that I was settling for less but I thought that there was no such thing as the perfect relationship. I was wrong. I divorced the first one because he had a terrible temper. The second because he was selfish and cruel. I know that should I find myself alone again I will never have the same feelings that I have with my hubby now. We have been married for 3 yrs and we still would rather be together than anywhere else

hell no. The first love is the do or die crap...one minute in the air, the next on the floor...and you know that IF you don't make up right now, the whole thing is over...OVER! I am sitting here LMAO over this question. Today, I have a knock down drag out, go out the house and don't think a thing about it.....everything will be back to normal this evening, or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow..whatever. How's that for drama????? Love and peace, Goldwing

Never! Fell in love at 16 in high school. Our family moved out of town and my heart was broken. We never kept in touch. We both married, my husband passed, he divorced, I went to visit a girl friend the other end of the U.S., and it ended up her best girl friend was HIS sister! We met again, and the first kiss felt as if I was 16 again! We have been together every since for four years, and I just celebrated my 64th, so there you go! Love conquers all! He was sweet and loving then, and still is the same young fellow I fell for 48 years ago!

Its hard to say, Because on one hand.. your at a certain point in your life, mental and Physically. Ive noteiced that when i was younger I felt differently when faced with situations like love or doing things i enjoy. I may still enjoy those things, or love that person, but the feelings have matured. you understand what i mean? So its likely you wont have the SAME feeling, but you could find another feeling that gives you the same type of Fulfillment.

Funny you should ask. I thought I was in love before, but now I know this is the first time it's been for real. The feelings I experience every day are the ones I savor. The past is gone and I don't want it back.

My first real love and husband died after we were married 18 months. I never made a right choice again and never felt the same love and care and devotion and want that I did the first time.

No, you can't experience the exact same feelings ever again, no matter how many times a person falls in love. That's what makes it so unique. :)

No. No comparison. You can have many loves over the course of a good, long well lived life. Each totally different. I'm not the person I was today in any of my old relationships. Each person is so unique they bring their own battle scars and experiences.

After my first love, it has never been the same again. After two marriages and fifty years, there's still the memory of how special that first love was.
