for free...at least advise..i know it cost alot of money to get a divorce but im a full time student and mom of 5 year old and 7 month old..i just recently split up with my husband and he said he would make sure things were alright, but i just dont trust him and need to protect myself...but how....

In your state and city call the attorney's bar association and they have a list of attorneys that volunteer or do prono bono (free legal respresentation). Most attorneys do give free consolations over the phone and in person. You will need your attorney to advise on divorce as well as family law for joint or one parent as the custodian parent. Honestly, I think you're going to have to get an attorney. You can pay him to only review documents you receive, that's what I did. I took a look, and then would have my attorney review it and let me know his thoughts. Then I would follow up with my ex's attorney and communicate the changes.

If I know this answer, I wouldn't have spent $30,000 on my lawyer!!!
