Of course time matters. There is a time for everything and everything should happen on time. If not would not all the suns, moons and planets collide?

I don't believe I understand the question. What exactly are you asking? Time occurs in space just like it occurs on Earth. Beyond that, I'm not sure what answer you're seeking. :-?

Matter to who or what?

Our time is just a system based on cycles of light and dark, created by humans to provide a reference that we live by.

It doesn't. At relativistic speeds the 'distance' between events becomes more 'timelike' that 'spacelike', but, aside from that, everything works just exactly the way it should and watches are pretty much worthless.
