No you dont have to see them all the time but love is love and there is nothing no one can do to change it especially if their love for one another is true but that doesnt mean you avoid them show them that for any reason at all your not leaving your love

Granted, that can be quite an issue, my husband and I were married 15 years before my mother-in-law warmed to me. It really depends on how much of an influence they are to him, if he is willing to back you up, and how open the hostilities are.
Funny thing about my mother-in-law, once I started picking up booze at the base for her, (cheaper, no tax) she decided she liked me. If I'd have known that, I would have started 15 years ago!!!!

Neither family approved of our marriage or liked our choice of spouse. My family completely disassociated from us and haven't spoken to us in 41 yrs. Her family fought with me till the day they died. If we had to do it all over, we would. We have had 41 wonderful (mostly) yrs together, raised 2 great children, enjoying grandchildren, and have had a lot of fun together. I am just warning you of the worst case scenario.

If i love someone strong enough it wouldn't matter to me what the family thinks. When all is said & done i will be sleeping with the woman i love not with their family members. as long as the one you love treats you right that's all that should count.

If your feelings are deep enough, yes you should. After all, you are marrying the person, not the family.
