Ain't it the truth.
I still occasionally think of the first "love of my life." And still miss him.
He will always have a piece of my heart, even though it's been more than 10 years since we had any contact whatsoever.
That's the message, I suppose: always appreciate what you have, for it may be gone in an instant.
