rice has no credibility. she does as bushie wants. anything good for americans the bushies downplay. besides this would make bushies prescription drug plan look bad. i believe a kindergartner could make better decisions than the bushie admin.

Good point. Seems like an absurd hyprocrisy stating the same drugs, from the same manufacturer sent to Canada are unsafe....yet tainted toothpaste, lead based paint on children toys, and posion loaded pet foods flow freely from China. Poor dodge attempt by the administration to spin the truth. The administration interest is to protect the ridiculous profit margins by the pharmeceutical companies. Canada, on the other hand, has a cap on the profit margins to protect the consumer from getting taken advantage of. Companies should have the right to make a very healthy profit, but that is a different story from gouging every penny you can squeeze from the elderly for medication they need, in some circumstances just to stay alive.

Because the pharmaceutical industry is a big Republican backer. If Americans buy drugs (made in foreign countries anyway) from Canada, where the price has been negotiated - then the high profit high price drugs on the American market will not sell . So Canadian drugs are BAD despite evidence of safety.
China on the other hand is helping to break unions and keep wages from increasing along with corporate profits. So they're OK despite evidence of contamination.

Everyone is aware of the dangers of imported drugs from foreign lands .
Most recently they have been giving Canadian manufacturer's a difficult time because Canada's standards are almost as good as America's standards .
America is losing out on profits from millions of prescriptions being filled by Canadian companies . Its only American drug companies complaining and not the people who are receiving inexpensive drugs .

What do you want her to say? Has the government taken a stand at all yet? She won't talk until the script is written. All politics works this way. What if she said something her boss doesn't agree with, does something the various "lobbies" don't agree with and hurts the Republican funding. Also, China deals in strict reciprocity - we complain about their poisons and they don't want our exports.
Bottom line - money talks (or, as the case may be, doesn't talk when it isn't "prudent")

Think again if you think things will be better under Hillary. The Clinton's were the ones who started all this free trade with China.

Maybe she plans to do so and has not yet done so. We get that you do not like the GOP.
