My lawnmower is releasing white cloudy smoke when ever i use it. First i checked the engine oil and it was filled to the proper level and it wasnt that dirty. Then i cleaned the bottom and removed the grass that was stuck to the bottom and the blades. I started it up again and it was still releasing white cloudy smoke. So then i changed the spark plug and the air filter and raised the lawnmower to the highest setting. I gave it another shot and it still blows out white cloudy smoke. I have a 6.5 hp lawnmower and ive had it for about 4 years. Its been doin this for 3 weeks now, can n e 1 help?

If the oil level is not going down then check the fuel.
Did you inadvertently buy diesel fuel?
Run the engine dry of fuel & buy some new gas in a different container.

If the spark plug has been installed long enough, you can tell why the exhaust looks the way it does from comparing the plug tip to the plug combustion signs chart below (link). Blacker smoke would mean an overly rich engine with unburned gasoline fumes in the exhaust and Bluer smoke of course would indicate oil burning as you see from a chain saw and the oil/gas mix they use.

Yeah just let it run until the smoke clears up what you did was let oil get into the cylinder and it burns up with the gas , next time try not to turn it over toward the muffler, hope this helps.

in case you probably did get some oil mixed into the gas it won't smash something. My son did it formerly he grow to be an adolescent and knew greater powerful and he grow to be attempting to bathe the grass from below the mower. It had white smoke for somewhat, yet nonetheless ran and the subsequent tank of gas i mandatory for it we've been ok and the mower nonetheless runs large. the sole make the fewer high priced mowers to final 3-5 yrs now a days....the place i grow for use to keeping one 10-20 yrs doing my very own cleansing and maintenance on it. in case you're fairly in touch, sell off the gas and initiate over, yet i think of that's going to be large. Mowers can run on a gasp of white smoke.

You are either using the wrong oil, or your engine needs an overhaul. Take it to lawnmower shop and ask them, before it costs you too much.

I would venture a guess that you have something in your fuel that is causing your problem
