I was watching that game, and I was just like, "Why don't they shut up??" It was so annoying to listen to them, the only reason I didn't turn it off, was being I like to listen to the crowd to see how they react to something. It was seriously annoying to listen to how Eric Wynalda and that other guy talked about something they know nothing about...well Eric Wynalda knows a little bit, cuz he played soccer before, but I bet the other guy never watched soccer before in his life until ESPN made him an offer to comment soccer games for them. It was disgusting to listen to Eric Wynalda whine and complain every time something went bad for the US. Sure, they got a few bad calls, but on the other hand, so did Brazil. It's soccer, it's almost impossible for the ref to get all the calls right. I hope they get some commentators that actually care about the game. It's awful to listen to their monotonous voices that barely change throughout the whole game, next time I'll watch games on some Chinese or whatever station on the internet...at least the commentator's aren't that bad.

Like E C, I watched it on Univision, I normally watch soccer there. They have more passion than american announcers, and they were pretty even handed in their approach to the match from what I understood.

EDIT: I don't think Wagner Love would be too happy about how they say his name on Univision though, lol.

EDIT2: David, the matches are 90 minutes long for a reason. If the US truly faced this conspiracy, they needed to score more and take the refs out of the match. Landon Donovan was interviewed on Univision after the match and he didn't share your sense that the US was robbed, rather he felt they played about as well as they could have but were still outplayed by a perenially top team. I agree with him completely. The canadians actually had a valid complaint after we beat them in the gold cup, the offsides call was wrong. But their whining about it when again, the match was 90 minutes long and they had other chances to score but didn't capitalize, didn't really make them look very good.

hey ronaldo do you really think you know what football is. look at the fact that brazil couldn't beat the U.S. with football so as always they resort to the cheating technique so oftenly taught in brazil. that brazilian fakes as if hes fouled 30 seconds after the US ties (great goal and creativity)
the anti us mexicans always will be against us. everyone knows that they hate us.
archundia helps brazil because brazil cant do it on their own.
the ref calls a penalty for brazil but goes blind for the US.
and dont even try and say that robinho was fouled because he was out of bounds.let me repeat that
OUT OF BOUNDS you parasites who think you know what football is.one thing is clear to me now
Brazil cannot beat the U.S. without pretending to be fouled and without a referee to help save them from the U.S.
thats exactly what happened.the U.S. would rip that team apart in a fair game.FAIR GAME for all of you who dont understand.

At least they were participating in the game and cared. It shows how more and more people are starting to like soccer. I thought they were kind of funny and they were right about the calls that were made (and the ones that he should have made but didn't) by the Ref.

Why watch on ESPN?! I support Univision 100%. I never watch commentary/broadcasts in English. I'd rather hear Swahili even.
